Willson has started to Jump up onto the counter with his paws anyone have any advice, I tell him Off and gently guide him down when his paws hit the floor I say "Good willson" maybe I shouldn't ......

Okay, this might not be very accepted, but instead of saying no, I taught Suzie Q. and Quinn is do "paws up" on the counter, and I would treat them, and then say "paws down" and then treat them. When I see - usually Quinn! - on the counter, I saw paws down, and make sure I have something really yummy,and then click and treat. Okay - if there is a stick of butter, or maybe a chicken breast, or even a turkey burger, and I am not in the room, will he eat it? OF COURSE!!! But hey, if there was an ice cream sundae on the counter and no one was looking, I would probably scarf that down myself!!! Progress not perfection!!!

What a great suggestion with the baking pans! Our previous pointer had the same habit, and now Barney can already reach the counters and he's only 4 months old. I am in the habit of pushing everything out of reach. Our previous dog Pork Chop wrecked a birthday cake or two. Loved the icing!

oh, I will have to try that. One time zoe ate 5 slices of raw bacon that was on the counter waiting to be microwaved. Tonight she ate a banana, peel and all.
