Sophie's 1st Halloween

Today we had trick or treating. I was a bit concerned about the costumes and groups of kids mobbing the door, but we had an amazing afternoon! Sophie barked at the sight of the first goblins but quieted quickly upon "NO!" After that first greeting from the kids and getting lots of 'what a cute puppy' comments she anxiously awaited more goblins. I didn't need to hear a doorbell as her tail would begin thumping to signal visitors. It was such an adorable sight. I had her leashed to the banister in the foyer and that proved to work just wonderfully. She had enough slack to get to the door to meet and greet but not enough to get in their way. She definately got her fill of rubs and pats. Everyone commented on soft she is! She continues to amaze us and proves to us everyday that we made the right choice.
