Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Several months ago I was minding my own business when Lynda Kamrath sent me a message asking me to send her some favorite photographs of my dogs taken by my daughter. She was interested in seeing some of my daughter’s photographs, but I noticed immediately she did not ask to see any of my work. She offered to print up our favorite photo as a giclee. Even though I wasn’t sure what a giclee was, I knew I had to have one.

Well, you can only imagine my excitement at this offer and we immediately forwarded some of our all time favorites to Lynda.
What followed next was a few emails from Lynda to my daughter and from Lynda to me. In every email she sent me she always added, “Have Hayley explain it to you,” or “Hayley will know what I am talking about.” WTD A couple of times her question had something to do with resolution or revolution and we all know a resolution is something you make on New Year’s Eve and break by New Year’s Day and a revolution is the reason I can’t work on my tan in December because the Earth is too slow getting around the sun. I even know what a pixel is, Lynda Kamrath. It is the stuff Tinker Bell shakes from her wand and if she shakes too much you can get pixel dust bunnies all around your house.
Explain it to me?? What does it even have to do with a favorite photograph or a giclee? Even though I have a SLR camera and just because I think those initials probably stand for Something too Long to Remember does not mean I need Hayley to explain anything to me. People, I am not an idiot!! Wow, I had no idea I was holding that in for so long.
Luckily, I did not hold it against Lynda and was able to see the bigger picture…something that showcased my dogs…and we continued to work well together. She decided on Vern’s calendar shot and then I waited. I couldn’t wait to see my giclee and when it came in the mail, I was not disappointed. Lynda outdid herself and it is absolutely beautiful. Every member of my family was impressed and while I was picking out the perfect spot on our wall for Vern’s picture, my husband announced he would be taking it to his office. Unfortunately, I couldn't argue with him because while I was explaining to Hayley that I loved the shot of Vern, but I wouldn’t be submitting it for the calendar because it was a side shot, John was talking over me and telling her not to listen to me. Luckily, even though I feel I am in the expert in this family on photography, I “threw them a bone” and went ahead and sent it to Adina, which just goes to show that even experts can be wrong every now and then. Next up on our summer agenda is the elusive side shot of Fudge blowing in the wind for a matching set.
This is Lynda's retirement hobby and you can take a look at her other work here.. http://www.lyndakamrath.com/
Thank you, Lynda, for thinking of us.

Donna, Wow....thank you for the idea about the orange bikini. I will mention it to John tonight. Why didn't I send that picture to Lynda? LOL Do you have a picture of your Zhee-klay? I would love to see it. Thank you!!
Ricki, Thank you!
Thank you, Joanna! I pronounce it the same way you do :)
Good things come to good people. That was a very nice thing for Lynda to do. This is great and it was so kind of you to let DH have it for his office it is a wonderful picture. I am just surprised he didn't ask for a Giclee of you in that infamous orange bikini for his office instead. I have to confess I didn't quite know what a Zhee-klay was either although I had heard the term before. I actually have one on my wall that was done by another very talented Linda (Bell). So thank you for an entertaining blog and a learning experience.
What a wonderful keepsake!
Hmmmm the Giclee looks exactly like the photo! I keep wanting to say glicee!! LoOOoove the photo of Vern!!! So many beautiful dood blogs today! First Auggie, then Milt, then VERN! I saved yours to read last :)
Thanks, Andrea and Bonnie!
Thanks, Amy!
Jane, LOL..he already took it to the office and said he won't bring it back :) I guess Vern beats the ChaCha girl!
Really beautiful!
very cool picture and now I learned my new word for the day too!
Wow, Lynda is really talented...this is an awesome giclee! I'm throwing that word around like I knew what it meant....today is actually the first I've heard of it. Tell John if he lets you keep this at home I'll send him the picture of him with ChaCha girl for the office.
Lisa, Don't worry about Fudge. Once we get the perfect windblown shot, there will be a matching set in my DH's office :) Meanwhile, he has never asked for a picture of me or the kids for his office. LOL
Deanna, Thank you! How lucky for you to live so close to a fellow DK'er :) Good luck getting that picture!!
Leslie, Thank you!
Camilla, Thank you! I am glad you are crazy laughed!
