I thought this was a very touching story. What are the odds of a guide dog losing it's sight?  I think it is amazing that another dog could be taught to help both dog and master!

I guess those same people need to think what would they do if this were a child or a spouse. Sometimes, you have to make do with what you got and find a new way to get the most out of life. Lots of people have to find new normals, and an animal should be given the same opportunity if he/she can still have quality of life. Looking at the second picture, everyone looks happy and loved.

This is near to my heart.  My last dog went blind rather quickly around the age of 9 years old.  Many people commented how cruel I was to keep him alive.  Too many actually.

He had to learn to be leashed outside--He was never on a run before. He relearned many things so quickly and happliy adjusting.  He never forgot how to counter surf, chew things up, bark--he was just blind, but still very much a dog.

This is a great great story.  I heard it last week on the news but for me two or three more times still makes it wonderful.

In this day and age of wanting everything perfect...isn't it lovely that they did not give up on this dog and found a solution to give him a great life :)

Awww, what a wonderful story with a happy ending.  They are two beautiful and smart dogs - the blind one looks like our Crosbey (RIP).

Oh the one hand, it is so hard to see that beautiful dog without his eyes, but then he looks so loved in the last picture.
