Boca's First Week

This Boca-girl is just the best little puppy ever! All my fears about getting a puppy with a baby seem like a big joke. She's so great! We've only gone on two walks because it's so darn hot, and she pulls like a banshee, but since we have a training plan for the near future it's not at all a concern. I just tie her leash to the stroller handle, hold Rosco's leash in hand, and stroll away with all my kids :-)

Today I got farther in desensitizing her to the nail dremel and I'm pretty sure I could have dremeled a few nails without her batting an eye-lash...but just to be sure we didn't actually try it. However, she targets the dremel (the back end not the moving part) on or off. She lets me touch the back part to her paws, on or off. And she is the most gentle treat taker EVER...the treats practically fall off her tongue as she takes them from my fingers =)

No accidents to date and she is keeping Rosco on his toes.

Wow, I was impressed with Rosco's restraint in the first video, but Boca's reaction in the second one just blew me away! What a marvelous temperament she has! I am so so happy that things are going so well for all of youy!

Re: Accidents -- remember she was about 16 weeks when we got her...so not a wee little puppy with little control (and again...she hasn't had a CHANCE to make a mistake like that inside :)

I love watching two dogs play! What a gentle giant Rosco is! That toy seems to be holding up great as well! So glad your fears have disappeared. NOW you can help out someone else who may have doubts!
