Bogey is 11 months old. We started seeing a private trainer in April because he's leash reactive. He would lunge and bark at people and other dogs when walking him. Two trainers told me it wasn't out of aggression (although if I was the person on the other end of the leash I wouldn't believe it), but out of frustration. We started our training very slowly with sessions at my home/neighborhood so there would be less distractions. Recently, we started meeting at a local park. The first week he did ok. We still had to keep some distance from people. But you guys, something happened this week and it's like a lightbulb clicked for him. Today, we were able to walk on the path and a couple passed us on our left at the same time we walked past a lady with her stroller on our right. He did not react at all and kept focused on me! I am so beyond excited to see such progress in him. I just had to share and I knew you guys would understand. :)
