Camus and his weird name

After we picked the name, we realized very soon how difficult and weird it sounds to american ear.

- Ca...what? - How did you say? -What's that? -Why? - Camoooo? - What a weird name?, etc. :)

Another mystery is why most of the people assume that he is a girl. I guess, they think: only girls can be so cute.

I am almost sure that this happens to many of you  and your cute doodles look like girls to people around, specially puppies.

Our oldest doodle Tura Lura O'Connell has a unique name.. We wanted an Irish name and we call her Tura. People have a hard time with it and when we briefly were going to nursing homes I realized how hard it was for people and felt the name choice was not necessarily a mistake but it is difficult. So second dood is Dolly,nothing fancy.....

Lisa, LOL....I was pronouncing it all wrong. Today, when Fudge ran out of the gate and out into the street, I pronounced her name a little differently too. It sounded like Fudge, but not quite...LOL!!

Actually there is another Camus on dk from San Diego.  That Camus is also a boy.  I am sure people just think he is a girl because he is very, very cute.  People think Ned is also a female.
