Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

This is my first post. Even though I have been on DK for 3 months already. Dear DK friends, if someone sees this post, please forgive me. I follow you and follow others' posts on the forum. I usually don't answer b/c feel ashamed of my English and don't have very much time (what is not dedicated to Camus is just for working, sleeping and cleaning the house).

Ok. I am starting to write some things about my doodle, because I really want to memorize some thoughts and funny observations and to practice English.

First story:

Happened when Camus was about 3.5 months. At that time C. was very scared of the ocean waves, even though he enjoyed swimming  in the lake. He didn't even let them touch his paws. He usually walked fine on the edge  until the wave came, then he ran away quickly.

So, one day when we went to San Onofre state  beach where dogs are welcomed and can ran off-leash, my DH  decided to go into the water. Camus started screaming, whining like crazy right away for the first second. The next second, he jumped after DH into the huge wave.... When my husband walked out, Camus cound't stop leaking his face and jumping from joy.

That was so touching. We almost cried. :)

Camus is not scared of the ocean any more. Since we started going to Huntington Dog Beach, Camus enjoys the ocean and swim and play fetch in the waves with no fear.

One interesting detail: Camus discovered very soon that the wave always brings the ball or the stick to him. So most of the times he waits instead of jumping over the braking wave. Very smart!

I loved hearing how Camus learned not to be afraid of the ocean and how smart he is to have figured out to wait for the ball or stick.  Your English is just fine.  Feel free to type away.  I am always typing 'not' for 'no' - I think I have a lazy finger and just hit  T sometimes..... But I know others can still figure out what I meant, we will figure out what you mean even if there are some mistakes - and you will get better with practice.
