Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Well this is my first full day with Baby Bella, she arrived last evening at 5 and we have been having a blast. She is so sweet.
At first Daisy was a bit tentative and avoided her like the plaque, then she started walking closer to her and trying to get a good sniff. It is so fun to see.
Bella has NO idea what to do as far as playing with a big 65# dog at her current 15#'s but she is very interested in finding out. She plays with no other animals at this point cause she is just 4 months now.
After a couple of hours we went outside (when it cooled off a bit) to play. Daisy with her Chuck-it and Bella trailing after her with her 30 foot training leash. I am going to try and get some video tonight (weather permitting) but it is a delight to watch. Daisy now is trying to get her to play chase, her favorite game, but Bella doesn't quite get it yet.
The jury is still out if I am ready or even interested in getting a 2nd doodle but as of right now I am still entertaining that idea. I do have 2 puppy tooth punctures in 2 fingers (I guess it's like child labor, you forget all of that after it's done)...and we have been "outside" to potty at least 24 times in 12 hours.
Bella slept in Daisy's crate and never made a peep from 10:30 last night to 6AM this morning. No paws hit the floor until we were outside and she pooped once and peed twice....15 minutes later she ate breakfast and she did her 2nd round of duties 15 minutes after that (30 minute rule applied). We then played in the backyard with DH, who is also infatuated with this little sprite (it's like having Daisy puppy all over again) but is NOT in the same frame of mind as me in the maybe dept.
The both of them are here at work, Bella at my feet under the desk and Daisy in her bed...they are both crashed.
I have Bella until Saturday, wonder how I will fill then.
Here is Bella watching me get gas this morning...
Daisy also watching me get gas
can you see the family resemblance - it is there, Bella looks exactly like Daisy did.

She is lots of fun, and lots of work and oh so cute....we like the fact that she can visit (much like a grandchild) and then go home :o). We truly are a one dog family.
Bella is a food motivated pup, unlike Daisy she devours her food in a blink of an eye and then goes for Daisy's who hasn't even started. It is hard to feed two dogs. This morning I fed Bella and then we went out so Daisy could eat and of course Daisy didn't so Bella ran to her dish...it took a 1/2 hour of separation and DH trying to get D to eat - ugh PIB.
Daisy I think is wondering when she's going home - ha ha
So cute. They do look so alike!
