Danger, Xylitol in Medications!

Xylitol, an artificial sweetener used in gum and candy is toxic to dogs. It is now being added to some medications.

That is crazy!!!!! Absolutely nuts.

I guess we are now going to have to grill our Vets anytime they want to put our dogs on Meds.

 

From the article in the link, it sounds as if we need to be the most concerned with liquid medications. And the first medication to be leary of is Gabapentin. I hope our folks that have dogs with seizures know about this.
