Do f1b doodles have stinky faces??

I am considering an f1b labradoodle but was wondering if it is the norm for them to have beards and stinky faces like shnauzers and certain terriers? The parents of the litter I'm considetring are both standard size and I know that usually it is the miniature poodles that have the tear staining, but not sure about the standard size poodles.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Goldendoodles do not look like thay have stinky faces but I could be wrong, Thanks!

My F1B Holly doesn't have a stinky face (see picture).

My F6 Gracie gets a messy face so I take a washcloth and wipe her face clean after dinner time.

Beau is an F1B mini golden doodle, and his face does get dirty..(you can see that in his main photo here)..I bathe him about once a week. But his face is never stinky. And tear staining....he had that as a puppy, and I got the stuff from Petco (I think it's called Anget Eyes or something) and it did the trick!

Our Gaston is an F1B Goldendoodle and, like Adina's, has a very curly coat and a sponge for a beard! LOL Honestly, I use her trick she posted in a previous thread and clean it with a vinegar mixture. Works wonders. But truthfully, his face is never "stinky" as a rule. The water he absorbs in his beard doesn't make it stink. Just soppy wet! LOL Typically, once a day I just take a warm washcloth to it to keep it neat. He loves it. If you're concerned about the full beards, you could keep it groomed short.

As far as tear staining...we don't have that either and he's very white/cream. I gather, if it's a genetic heritable trait he must not have it.

It really depends on the dog. I have two F1 labradoodles. they both have beards. My thicker coated, curlier doodle almost always has a damp beard. His beard also tends to be stinky and he gets more baths than any of our other dogs. His beard is like a sponge... And you know how wet sponges get!

As for tear staining, it's a genetic heritable trait... Hopefully the breeder knows whether her dogs carry the trait for tear staining. However, unless you get a white or cream labradoodle... You won't really notice it at all.

PS--if you don't get many responses here in your blog... I recommend you ask this question in the main forum as that gets more responses than blogs.
