Does your dood smell your car?

Every time I let Monty into the garage, he smells over the entire car. Down along the bottom and especially the tires.  It's like he is trying to determine where we have been.. If we come back from a restaurant, he smells our mouths! Does your doodle do this?  I've never had a dog that acts this way.

You should read the book "Inside of a Dog."  It details sniffing behaviours in a way that really opened my eyes.  We get the once over every time we come home.  Where have you been?  Who were you with?  What did you eat?

She never smells my car but in our parking lot at work she does the tires and the lower part of others we pass as we head to the potty spot. I always wondered before if she smelled a dead critter or something but it happens so ofter I don't think it's possible for all of those cars to have a critter sent....weird behavior for sure.

Gracie Doodle smells everything!!!  I think she smells us to see if we have been out cheating on her.  When we come home with a dog smell on us we always tell her who it is.  She also smells the cars...nothing gets past Gracie!  Just tonight I went up in the attic and pulled a bunch of stuff down that had been up there for almost 30 years.  It was all of my daughter's doll furniture and Cabbage Patch dolls.  She is having her first baby in April and it is a girl so I thought this would be a good time to get the stuff down and see what the rats or time has done to it.  So Gracie comes into the kitchen where I have all the stuff set up and she starts smelling every square inch of each piece of furniture.  One of the pieces is a bunk bed with a ladder.  Gracie even smelled each rung in the ladder!!  WTD?  I was wondering if she could smell my daughter after 30 years on the stuff????  Really strange how much time she gave the furniture.  Another thing she does is if we have something in our hands she has to see it and smell it.  She is such a curious girl...aren't we all!!  lol
