First I'd like to thank all the prayers out there -- it really helps. Jess loves his doodle and she is getting into everything....her way of wanting him home. The excellent team at Mayo is working hard around the clock on Jess. There is less "hovering." Kidney function has been back and lungs clearing, although still not great and more fluid removal is needed. The ECMO (heart lung support) will be turned down on Monday to see what his heart is doing. We were told not to be alarmed if they continue to keep him on the machine. The fully body scan showed a small clot by the brain but they did not seem very concerned and high PSA levels. He never had that before so it may be up due to all that is happening with him.
My blood pressure is high enough for the both of us but unfortunately that is not one thing we can share.
When I look at the dedication of the staff I can't help but think what a noble profession it is to part of the medical community to work on saving lives. I feel blessed that these fine people are doing all they can and we have a facility with top-rated technology to give us the best possible chance.
Jess's son Matt turns 28 on Monday -- we are hoping for the best possible news for his special day.
