Expecting pups any day! (But not Lyric's) UPDATE!

I have just gotten home from a trip to pick up Tapas, a lovely chocolate LD who had pups here with me a few years ago--she is now expecting 6 pups and is due sometime in the next few days. I will have them here with me for 5 weeks and then they go to the breeder's houser and I can put my feet up! Two weeks later, Lyric will be due, so I will need to get some rest!

I will keep you all posted on the birth of the litter and of course, will be happy to share pictures with my puppy loving DK friends! I think this litter might be all black or chocolate.

Yes, i do like to keep busy! I had such a demanding job for years (taught high school biology) when I was raising three kids at the same time--if I didn't have my gardening and my dogs now that I am retired, I think I would go stir-crazy...took the pregnant mom for a mile walk this morning and then took one of my own for a three mile walk--now back outside for another walk with the pregnant dog again (she is a very active athletic dog and leaps around despite her big belly) and then ZUMBA class!

Of course, i should mention that the dog and I just hung out in the whelping room for an hour and I took a nice nap--ahhh, retirement!
