Ever since Hank was a little pup I have watched him get so scared by the bangs of fireworks. Hank reactions are subtle, first he starts to pant...then he leans...and if it keep up he eventually ends up either under my legs or hiding behind me.
Just a reminder to keep our pets safe this 4th of July

Lauren, we have a few discussions in the Anxiety Group about this and other similar products. You may want to read what others have said and how it has worked/not worked on the doodles
Thanks Joe Ive seen the commercial from them but wasnt sure. I just may have to try it out.
Lauren, Have you ever thought trying a Thunder Shirt ( http://www.thundershirt.com/) for Hank? I decided to give it a try for our Gus. He hates thunderstorms and the noise from fireworks. We live near a minor league baseball stadium and they have fireworks every weekend there's a game. It's working great for Gus. He's had it on through a couple big storms recently and last nights fireworks and he slept through everything.
We filled (peanut butter and kibble) and froze some bones for the guys to gnaw on during the fireworks.
We were in a fenced back yard (in a suburb) not expecting fireworks on Canada Day... but there was a nearby park where some people shot off fireworks for nearly an hour. Poor Luna was very scared and she hid under a chair as FAR from the lights and sounds as she could.
My vet posted this ad on FB today!!!
I wish they had silent fireworks myself. We'll stay in and together tonight.
A lot of people in my neighborhood put on firework displays--they're quite beautiful, but very scary for Sadie, and they started earlier this week. Last night I had to take her out into the backyard four times before she would finally pee.
Thanks for the reminder. It's such a scary and hazardous time for many animals. I feel so sorry for them. :(
