We said goodbye to our Lucy yesterday.  She was 4.5 years old.  The house is so empty and quiet this morning.  No clicking of her paws to the floor, no whimper to go outside, no morning walk, no flipping of the dog bowl for breakfast.  But she is free of pain from her awful disease.  I am so heartbroken.

So sorry for your loss.  We lost our Sophie one week after her 5th birthday from Lymphoma.  I know this silence all too well.  My wish for you is that some day all of your wonderful memories of Lucy can make you smile rather than make you sad.  Hugs.

I am so sorry for your loss. I think it is especially hard when they are still so young.   May your happy memories of Lucy give you comfort.

So sorry. We lost our six year old a year and a half ago, so I know the pain you feel and the sadness of that quiet house.

My heart aches for you, I am so sorry for your loss. I've only had Henry for a bit over 2 months and I would be lost without him.

My friend's sweet golden lab has just been diagnosed and it may be too late for much help. She's 7 yrs old.

So sorry for your loss, such an sad empty feeling.

I hope that no other of your beautiful doodles ever get the same diagnosis as our Lucy (HIstiocytic Sarcoma), but if they do, I'm happy to share our strong views on different chemo treatments (we tried 3) and our experience and support.
