Guess Who's In Town!

A few months back, Cheryl and Finnegan and I were so happy to hear from Laurie, Wally and Charlotte! It turns out that Laurie would be in the area for Thanksgiving and suggested that we get together for a romp with the doodles! We decided to meet the Friday after Thanksgiving, such a fun day to look forward to after all that darn Thanksgiving Day cooking!! Laurie scouted out the area and found a beautiful fenced in soccer field, perfect for some doodle shenanigans! It was a beautiful chilly but sunny day! All together we had Cheryl and Finn, Laurie and Wally and Charlotte, and Tom and me with Jack and Jilly. Let the fun begin!!

It was so much fun to see them all running around and having a great time. Charlotte and Jilly are two peas in a pod, both about the same age, just over a year and both are little ones. They gave the boys a run for their money and the boys had no problem keeping up! Wally is so handsome with his flowing locks and Finn is as sweet and cute as can be! All in all such a fun day. And always so great to meet another DKer!

Someone thought it would be a great idea for a group photo. Who came up with this idea?! Let me just say that they're overrated. I have no words for my two in these photos! The whole scenario made me smile and check out how Finn just sits so perfectly through the whole fiasco!

I'm going with the story that they were running to Tom who was taking the photos!

What a fun day! F, we missed you. Laurie, I still don't know why you didn't drive the few hundred miles!

Hopefully this will be a new Thanksgiving tradition!

Great blog and photos, Janie!  It was great to meet Laurie and her two gorgeous, loveable doodles, Wally and Charlotte! And we loved seeing J & J, you and Tom!  As doodles go, Finn is fast, but Charlotte is faster.  Much faster!! She thought she was, hands down, the winner in this category until Flying Jilly showed up!  

Uhhh, BTW that's me and Wally in that photo, not Finn.  But I forgive you because I know you're still got PTSS over the group shot LOL!  Oh if only we had audio :)) Still ROTFL!

The morning was so much fun and the doodles so joyful -- we loved it! This would be a lovely Thanksgiving Day Tradition!  Jane didn't mention the delicious cookies she brought along. Laurie, they rivaled your infamous Sandtarts! :))  Thank you Janie!  I'll try and add some more shots soon but my internet connection's giving me fits ...

Hooray for DK meet-ups! I'm so happy you had this fun day together. The doodles look like they had as much fun as the DM's. Thank you so much for documenting this day for all of us to share. Sounds like a wonderful tradition.
