Happy Happy 1st Birthday to Lady Peri!

It seems only yesterday I got the call from our breeder - she said "I am sorry, the litter was smaller than anticipated and we do not have enough males for you". Yes, I was on the list for a male. A few days later, she emailed me asking if I wanted a female - the people ahead of me on the waitlist wanted males only and decided to wait for another litter. I said "ABSOLUTELY YES!", called DH and he said "I secretly wanted a girl!".

Done deal, rest is history. I am in love with my girl! Here she is with her brother Taquito during her first week at home:

Today she is hangin' at daycare with her littermate Bella. They are running around like crazy. Tonight we are having a small family get together with the family cairn Lucy and my sister's chihuahua Charley (aka Chuck). I am picking up a special cake for the dogs today. Wine and cheese for the adults!

I will probably be posting some good photos later - be on the lookout!

Thanks to you all for your advice over the past year. DK has been invaluable to me.

Update: Dogtopia daycare sent me photos of Peri and her sister Ellie celebrating. This has made my day!!!!
