I thinks I have done BIG WRONGS this time!! My daddy got a new pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. I thought they looked a little crooked on his face so when him and mommy went to dinner last night I adjusted them for him :-) I was trying to be a good girl!! He left them right on the counter for me - or so I thought.

I must not have done a very good job. They came home and he was MAD! Mommy said "Hunter, what did you do?" She has this "special" voice when she says that to me. I knew I must not have done a good job, mommy made me go outside while daddy tried to fix his sunglasses. He couldn't fix them and mommy says they were $275. She told me I am going to need "BAIL MONEY" and that doesn't sound good....... any of my doddle buddies know about this bail money? What is a doodle to do????

Mommy tries all these fun tricks and puts stuff on the counters just for me ~ she puts cookie sheets with spoons and forks and they make lots of fun noise when they fall down. Then she puts up cans with string, when those fall I drag them around the house! If I am really lucky she will squirt me with the water bottle when I get up on the counter!!!

I hope she comes up with more fun counter games :-)

Love, Hunter

Ps. Don't forget about that "Bail Money" she said something about Korea too - hhmmm wonder what that's all about......

I think you'll have to use cuteness and a sad doodle face as your bail money. Tell your dad to send his glasses to Maui Jim for repair. It won't be free, but it would probably be cheaper than a new pair.

Hunter - it's a sad world when you get punished for helping. I have to throw in with the other doods and say be extra cute and super loving and it will blow over quickly. That's what I did when I "fixed" my moms blinds. And her box of q-tips. And the remote controls. And her dinner (dood - she left it on the coffee table). Wow - my mom is a wreck - looking back over this list she needs my help with EVERYTHING. You'd think I'd get more appreciation around here! All my doodle best, Callie (aka "The Callinator")

Hunter - I have tried to fix things for mom before too. I think I need to stop doing that. Last time I tried to fix her photo album and mom could barely look at me for a while. I think she started crying. I just gave her a sad look and she came around. I don't think our humans can resist a pouty doodle look - keep working on that okay?

I am really working on the sad, pitiful eyes. I have been warming mommy's feet all morning too. The true test will be when daddy comes home from work :-(

Ok Hunter...here's what you do...lay on the floor with your paws out in front of you...put your nose on your paws and roll your Big Browns up at your mom and expecially at your Dad!!! Then slightly thump your tail on the floor..Works everytime for me!!! Good luck..your pal, Wilson

Hunter, I think it's very unfair that you got in trouble for trying to fix your dad's glasses! If he didn't want you to fix them, why did he leave them out for you? These humans are very confusing, the way they don't put their things away and then blame us for thinking they left them within reach on purpose! We're smart, but we aren't mind-readers! Sheesh!
I don't have any money, but I could sell some of these toys I never play with and fancy cookies I never eat, and try to get some bail money for you! Try to look up at your mom & dad with a really sad, pitiful expression in the meantime, that always works for me.
Your friend, Jackdoodle

Oh Hunter, we're real sorry you're in so much trouble. I wouldn't worry about bail....our Mom says stuff like that too, but she doesn't mean it. We just do a couple cute things and give her a few Doodle kisses and she forgets all about it. Give it a try.
