The weatherman said it would rain this morning but clear up this afternoon. Around noon, Yankee and I headed for the dog park. It has been raining for most of the week and we really needed to get out.

It was nice enough when we got there. We took a stroll and ran into a neighbor with her Husky "Dakota". This was Yankee's first doggie friend and he still adores her even though she moved away. My neighbor likes to walk way back in the bush where there are few people and dogs so off we went.

Well it started to hail, ........yes hail. It was small hail so we kept going. Then came the rain, lots of rain. The dogs got drenched and everything was sticking to Yankee....mud, sand, grass, sticks. We still had quite a way to go before we got back to the parking lot. We were drenched and the temperature had dropped. I felt like a popsicle. On the way home, I called DH and told him to get towels etc ready. It took me an hour to get all the grit off Yankee.

Then after dinner, my son & grandson took Yankee for a walk and he came back dirty. It wasn't that bad but I wasn't thrilled.

I blame the weatherman for my sore back and he better hope I don't catch a cold from this.

Just imagine a job where you make a 6 or 7 figure salary and don't get fired for being wrong more than half the time. Parents, encourage all your kids to enter the field of meteorology. From what I can see, the primary job requirements are the ability to point at maps, and to look good in a brightly colored blazer.
Linda, hope your back feels better and you don't catch cold. Sorry your day was spoiled by the weather(man)!
