I have a bunny slayer on my hands................

Over the last several days, Lucy has been obsessed with trying to get under my living room deck. We have lattace around the bottom of it and tonight she broke a piece of it down, got under there and found a nest of baby bunnies. She ATE one of them !!!!!!! I am soooooooo upset with her. We have had these 3 rabbits running around in our yard and evidently one of them had babies under the deck. Now, all she wants to do is go outside, and I know what she is going to do, try and get under there again. OH ME OH MY, what am I going to do with my bunny slayer?????????????

How gross!!! Bad Lucy. Yankee once found a dead bunny in my yard and I freaked. I brought him inside but he kept barking to go back out. I woke DH up to get rid of it. I couldn't do it.

"OH Lucy" What did you do?? I have no advice on how to stop her from getting them except to remove them. Lilly is always chasing rabbits but has never caught any Yet..

Thank goodness so far when my 2 have found toads and fledgling birds they just paw at them to see what happens and I've been able to rescue them all--or at least I think so! Now I realize they may have eaten the other evidence. Lucy ate a live baby bunny--ugh. I know it's normal dog behavior but you have to convince her it's not something "civilized' and culturally aware dogs do. I wish I could help you to figure out how to do that.

I have a bird hunter - two last week! I felt so bad for the little birds, but gosh, the birds should have flown away.
