I lost my couch!

We have a big TV in the basement family room and that is where I like to watch movies. When I just had Yankee, he would lay on the couch beside me or with his head on my lap while I watched DVD's. Well, Finn has decided that he also likes to lay on the same couch. So, now if I watch a movie, the dogs have to jockey for position to see who gets to lay beside me. Yankee will grab a toy to get Finn's interest so he will jump off the couch. Then Yankee will take his spot on the couch.

Now I have learned that I have to get my spot on the couch before the dogs head to the basement. If I don't, this is what it looks like:

We have a great niece that is now 5. From the time she could walk, one of her greatest pleasures was taking someones chair if they got up for any reason. As the individual would head back to regain their seat and see her in it she would get the biggest grin on her face and just start cracking up. DH would always tell her you better hold on tight, and she would just grab the sides of the chair and hold on as hard as she could. Now, Lucy and Sophie do the same thing. Anytime you get up and come back they are sitting in your seat. DH always says you better hold on tight! Fortunately, they are pretty easy to move, you just tell them to go to the other side/end and they are pretty happy to do so! It just always reminds me of our niece getting such a kick out of steeling your seat though. Yankee and Finn look pretty tired, like they had a very busy day!

It's time for a sectional! LOL Jackdoodle is just one, and he positions himself so that there is no room for anyone else on the sofa.
The doodles get the best seats in the house. We're all nuts!!! (And wouldn't have it any other way!)

So funny. I've got to believe moving them at this point would be quite a challenge. Looks like they're there for the long haul. Sometimes when I'm in bed watching TV with Guinness I'll realize after a while that he has managed to take over most of my side and I'm hanging off the edge. He does it little by little so I don't even realize it until I'm ready to fall off. They know how to "have their way with us".
