Is this a suitable yard for doodle and chi?

We are still looking at houses, but there is one that is on our "short list" (term our realtor uses). 

 

I  just wanted you to see if my DK friends think this yard is suitable for Lady Peri and Taquito.  Please ignore the yard art - this photo does not do the yard justice at all!!!!!!!!!  It has a nice front yard too.  The back looks steeper than it actually is - we should be able to fence it off.  The house is pretty great on the interior - just needs paint (and it has an unfinished basement).  Outside needs fence, removal of yard art (lol) and a new roof.

Allyson I love the back yard.  How big is the lot?  We have a half acre 2/3rd of it is backyard.  Last year we replaced our old fence with a wooden privacy fence with 2 gates (1 single & 1 double) and spent a tad over 5K.  Which was surprisingly close to the same price we paid for the original fence we installed 14 years before.  Shop around with your fence companies.  In this economy they are more willing to bargain than they were before housing bubble burst.

Most houses we are looking at do not have fences. We are expecting to spend a pretty penny on a wooden fence - thousands, I know!

Looks great Allyson!!  We did a bunch of landscaping last year, including fencing and I was shocked how much $$ for a wood privacy fence (not sure if you are looking for wood fence) , so you may want to consider a quote for the fence just so you know the cost ahead of time.  I like how the garage is in the back of the house too, with lots of room in the drive for parking.

That's so exciting...pretty soon, whether it's THIS yard, or a different one...the choodles and you will be SOOOO happy with all that free space.  I have to admit I'm pretty yard obsessed...in the sense of admiring yards.  Driving past nice houses I'm MOST curious about their yard and I'm always in disbelief that any nice house with no yard or a postage stamp yard even sells.
