Let me try this again....I did something last time when I added the link and I lost my blog. I went out to Petfinder this morning like I do every day to see Izzy....her posting was gone. I sent one last follow-up to the shelter asking them what the status was, just so I could have some closure. They have never responded to any of my inquiries, so they probably won't respond this time either. Anyway, I'm so sad. I fell in love with that little girl, but I'm thinking it just wasn't meant to be. I started looking again, and I did find Joseph, a black mini poodle. He spent over six years in a puppy mill. The pictures of him when he was first rescued made me cry. He has been rehabilitated in a foster home for a few months, and now he looks great. He had made videos on the evils of puppy mills, and he has his own Facebook site. The concern is that he has a seizure disorder, but it is controlled by meds. That worries me a little, but I know there are others on DK who deal with seizures, and it doesn't seem manageable. Guinness has a vet appointment this afternoon, so I will ask her about this. I'm attaching the link, and I'd love everyone's thoughts. I hope it works this time. Please take a look at the video - it's very moving.

Joseph is very sweet and handsome. He finally can have a decent life now. Thanks to the rescuers.

I am in So. Cal. rather than the bay area (like 8 hours away), however, if it is for Guinnness, Ned insists that we will do our part.
Taffy is adorable and looks like she wouldn't mind a re-name to Izzy if Guinness wants a sister named Izzy ....
Keep us posted.

Jackdoodle says he can love as much as any two dogs, and that Guinness can too! He also said, Please don't cry, Aunt Jane, Guinness's sister will find you when the time is right! Hugs & doodle kisses from both of us!

You are all truly amazing friends. Your support means so much to me. Right now I don't think it's in the cards for the sister for Guinness. You've all been with me through this little "roller coaster" ride of the past couple of weeks. At least now I know not to get my hopes up so high. I need to stop "bawling" like a baby and just appreciate my amazing Doodle. It will happen when it's the right time and the right dog. Thank you all so much.

I'm 3 1/2 hrs South of Palo Alto let me know if I can help in any way. I was looking at Taffy and thought perfect for you and Guinnes. She just looks so happy.
