Just a Short Update (pun intended)

This was grooming weekend for the boys. Declan got a bath and blow-dry and his important bits trimmed (or shaved, as appropriate), his ears flushed and his nails trimmed. Dec loooooves being groomed. When it's Lach's turn I have to peel Dec off the table because he wants a turn NOW! If I'm just doing ears and feet they both get on the table together. Just as well I have a big, sturdy table.

Lachlan ... poof, he's a Saluki? *grin* Lach's coat is so bloody thick it's almost impossible to find the skin and at 4 inches he was complaining that he was too warm, so when I found a sore on top of his head this week ... and no good way to find out if there were any more ... yeah, he's naked now. The good news is that was the only sore and it's purely surface. Looks like he barked the top of his head on something and scraped a few layers of skin off. The other good news is that he actually seems to love his haircut! And I love watching how athletic he is when he's flying around the back yard with his brother!

(Just wait, Dec, just wait. Your turn will come. Oh yes.)

Gotta tell ya, Lisa, I'm loving it too. Took 10 minutes to wash him and another 10 to dry him ... life is good!

Laurie, mostly they are happy together. Right now, though, they're both doing the "Moooooom, he got the better bully stick! You love him best, I knew it!" routine. Eh, kids. ;-)

Ha ha, the pictures tell a thousand words...love it and Lachlan looks awesome. Daisy is being groomed on Wed...can't wait to take off that heavy winter coat.

Great shots! They both look awesome!! I've had my canon rebel for 6 months and still can't figure it out. I really need a class, I'm just not a self directed learner.

Thank you, Nicki! Declan's still au naturel. The only trimming I've done on him is face, feet, under the tail and ears, and his boy parts. I don't think I'm far off scissoring him down though. His coat's starting to thicken up like Lach's already. We want pics of Riley! S'funny, when I did this for a living I could turn out eight or nine dogs a day. Now it takes me three days just to do two! (But I get to take lots of breaks and do it in shifts.)

Wow, great photo's and what a week-end of grooming you must  have had. .  Declan looks fab (did you scissors his body?) and Lachlan looks like he is really enjoying the freedom.  I also spent the week-end grooming though only one dog!  I will take out the camera tomorrow.
