Kennel Cough Outbreak in Portland Oregon

Attention all Portland dog owners!
There is an outbreak of kennel cough in our area. I don't know how severe this strain is, but it is spreading very quickly! Last night for our CGC test, we had to wipe all doggy and people feet in disinfectant and the dogs were not allowed to go near each other! I have also heard that some doggy daycares are shutdown in our area to help stop the spread.
I will not be taking Coop to the dog park for a while, and doggy daycare is out!
I will also post an announcement in the Portland group.

That's so interesting because I just heard from my brother that it is rampant in his Daycare here in CT. With the vaccine that is required in all CT Daycares it is surprising to me that it could become so much of an issue. Dogs with any symptoms are not being allowed in his daycare for two weeks after the symptoms have cleared.
