Wow, what a fun day we had here.  We are getting our first snow of the year and we already have about 5 inches (even for Michigan that is not normal this time of year).

This is the first snow since we have adopted our 2 doodles (Fozzie in April and Ember in October).  I think Fozzie has been around Michigan winters before and I think Ember has seen snow but not as much as we get here.

Well, they are having so much fun running and chasing each other in it.  It is so fun to watch.  Fozzie especially is all wound up.  He keeps wanting to go outside and can't settle down.  He is just like a kid at Christmas.  Seeing them just makes me smile.  They are so much like kids. There is just something about that first snow that is magical.  All the trees are white and everything looks brand new and clean.  I love it until Christmas and then I'm ready for summer again.  LOL

After they came in they of course had snowballs all over their feet and legs.  Ember was so funny.  She just stood there and didn't want to move.  I don't think she knew what to do or why the ice was there.  I took them upstairs and put them in the shower and ran some warm water to melt them.  She was better then :)

I have a feeling that tomorrow morning will be a repeat of tonight...

Just had to share what fun it was to see them so excited and playing in the white stuff!  Ahhhh...the beginning of a long Michigan winter.

Yep, this morning was the same.  I just wish I had waited to order my Christmas cards until the snow as I was able to get some cute pic of them this morning with the new snow and the sun shining.  Both of them are loving it!

I love the first snowfall almost as much as a doodle does. I grew up in Wisconsin and go home every December hoping for snow. Enjoy those happy doods as they frolic in that pure white snow.

There IS something magical about that first snow (unless it's a blizzard that knocks out the power), and it is so much fun for our Doodles.  It's going to be 60 degrees in CT today, so no snow for our guys.

Two happy doodle and a fresh snow fall, priceless. Those snowballs do take some of the fun out of it for doodle moms but it is so worth it.
