Looking for a Doodle

I live in Lancaster County, PA and am looking to adopt a mini labradoodle in mid June. We don't care which sex but would prefer a black and white mix or black coat. We have 2 school age kids and owned a dog previously. I would prefer to adopt from someone locally (within an hour drive). Please let me know if you know of a great and loving breeder. First some questions for you to help us better help you:
1) Does shedding matter? Are you allergic to dogs at all? I'm asking because not all breeders breed all kinds. Also MANY doodles still shed and no dogs are truly hypoallergenic.

2) Are you primarily interested in a puppy from a breeder or would you consider a rescue doodle? There's no wrong answer =)

I don't like to make public recommendations for any breeder unless I've gotten a dog from them. Finally, be very careful in your search. Lancaster county is notorious for puppy mills. I'm not sure if off the top of my head I can think of any breeders in that area as I don't know Pennsylvania, but I do know we have a member who lives in Pennsylvania who is a breeder. I have never bought a puppy from her, so that's all I know.

In the article I linked to above you'll be given links to our puppy sales groups where you can see what is for sale from breeder members of this site. In the end you may have to either drive farther or have your puppy shipped by air because your choices are truly limited where you live.
