Lucy, the horse, went to the vets today............
Lucy went for her yearly check up today, and yes, she is becoming a horse. Last July she weighed 59# and today she weighed 70.6#. She does not mind going, BUT hesitates going into the exam room. AND God forbid someone sticks a thermometer up her butt, she goes bulistic. No temp taking though today. She was OK, they did have to back her up into a corner though to just look into her eyes and ears. She is sooooo funny, she just kept looking at me like, "mommy, get me, they'r going to hurt me". I noticed a round ball like thing in her left, I call an ear lobe. He checked it and said it was just a fatty cyst and may go away, but not to worry. Also, 2 weeks ago she tangled with a raccoon, nose to nose with the coon jumping at her. It was after dark and I was not sure if it scratched her or bit her. I had checked all over her at the time and did not find anything, but with all that fur who knows. Doc Bob said in that type of a case he would give her another rabies booster today even though she was not due until 2010. He said raccoons are nothing to mess with. Whew I am glad and glad that this check up went well. He gave her a very very thorough check up. Until next July!!!!!!!!!!

OH PLEASE, no skunks!!!!!!!!! I haven't had to deal with that yet and do not want to. The coon was bad enough. It was VERY aggressive and was not going to back down from her and she would not stop either. I hope it doesn't happen again, I was scared for her .

Thise raccoons can sure be aggressive though.

LucilleBall IS a wild thang !!!!!!!! There are also 3 bunnies that come into HER space and she chases them all them time. Also birds and groundhogs, anything that is in her area. She is so funny. She is very territorial.

Wow! I cannot see Lucy being a wild girl messing with racoon!! Allthough I can see her loving a wild nature. I remember that she went missing after following the flock of geeses!!

Lucy is messing with raccoons! That's not a good thing. Glad she is fine.
