Lucy's first walk on trail

Fergie and I had our first walk on our country trail by the house. It's got 1 1/2 mile stretch with no roads and at this time of year not any other people either. No leash necessary. It was so nice even though it was cold outside. It was fun to watch Lucy (8 wks) chase her older sister. We went about 3/4 mile total. I worked on teaching Lucy to come when called and sit in front of me. She was very hungry and I fed her her kibble as we walked. This worked really good. She's already coming to me when I call and kind of gets the sit thing. Fergie is showing her. I guess it's never to early to start these things. Believe it or not - snow coming in WI tomorrow. This will put a damper (or a cooler) on our trail walking. Shoot!

Snow here in Mn. too - for the next few days too I think - and cold!! We hauled in another rack of firewood to get us yet another week. I'm so tired of the cold and the wood mess!!! lol
You are so lucky to have a nice place to walk your dogs so close to home!! I wish we had someplace here that I didn't have to drive to first. Spring will be here - eventually!! hahaha

How fun!! Congratulations Lucy! (I have a Lucy too). I went camping last weekend with both doodles for the first time... Rusty (my 4 month old) is great on the leash with just me.. but both of them on the leash was .. well.. a mess.. LOL.. I should have started much earlier. Anyhoo.. enjoyed your blog.
