Lyric's last litter--born 11-12-13!
Lyric's SIX pups came a bit earlier than expected and boy, she had them fast! In the past, she has had at least 12 hours of labor, so when she started showing signs of pre-labor late Monday night, I settled in with her for a good night's sleep before the big day--and was excited that it would be 11-12-13! Well, the first pup arrived at 2 am--and I had to slap myself awake and get to work!
All went very well--Lyric had a big smile and a twinkle in her eye for the entire four hours it took to deliver the pups--I was a bit groggy, but got through it! We were scheduled to have an Xray that day to determine the size of the litter and obviously cancelled that so there was a bit of guesswork involved, but it was quite clear when she was all done delivering.
I love all the colors--The dad is only 30 pounds, so a few of the pups are smaller like him--the others are much bigger, so we will have quite a size range in this litter--and lots of curls!

Plump and getting plumper! Lyric is in the box round the clock with only 5 minutes every few hours outside--she won't even get up to eat--eats lying down in the box! But after two weeks, she will relax--she is loving having all those pups to LICK!
