Save me from myself – PLEZZZZZ
Late yesterday I received a call from Olde Towne Pet Resort in Sterling, VA. Ashley (Harley’s first love when she worked at the Springfield location) explained that they were waiting on the arrival of a Goldendoodle named “Willy” who needed a new home, and she was wondering if any of Harley & Leo’s blog post readers might be interested.
Meet Willy…
Willy is three years old, approx. 65 lbs, white and gold, and to quote Ashley “super, super sweet and very friendly.”…
He attends OTPR regularly, and is good with dogs and kids. They tell me Willy is a “humper” and will need some work correcting that habit.
He arrived last night and is presently getting his full spa bath as I type…
Here he is after his blow dry and comb, now he’s in need of a little trim work so he can see you better, Awwwhh…
Willy needs a home, he has already had three and is ready for a “forever” residence. At his current height and weight he is “smack dab” between Harley (48 lbs) & Leo (90 lbs). I’m afraid if someone doesn’t take him, I might just loose all sense of reality, bring him home, and loose a doodle husband – HELP ME (and Willy!).
If you’ve always wanted your own Goldendoodle – this might be your moment. If you know of someone who has longed for a Goldendoodle, forward this post to them for this might be their moment.
For additional information on how to visit Willy in person, inquire about his past for more details and to see if he’s the “right fit” for your home, please give me a call at 703-400-3498, so we can arrange a time for you to meet.
Thanks for reading…

Hi Kathy,
Hope you and your family are feeling better. Is there any news on Willie? What ever happened to this homeless doodle? Hope he found a home for Christmas
I am wondering why this beautiful dog has been shuffled around so much from home to home. Given how much we all love our doodles, it's hard to understand how he could have been tossed aside not just once, but three times. I'm assuming that he did not come from a reputable breeder, since such a breeder would never allow this to happen to one of her dogs. I too am wondering if he is neutered and think he really needs to be evaluated before he is placed in yet another home. Clearly there is some issue that is causing people to give up on him; in order to choose the right home for him, it's necessary to know what that issue might be. Vet records also need to be examined, to be sure there isn't some health issue that is causing so many people to abandon him.
It is very, very important that Willy's next home be an experienced dog home, and that it be his last home. There are only so many rehomings a dog can withstand before he becomes so confused and insecure that major behavioral issues develop, and then the dog is unadoptable and doomed. Whoever gets him needs to be committed to caring for him for life, no matter what, and it is necessary to have all of the facts to make that kind of commitment.
Okay Cathy, sorry I don't see the issue looks like he would fit right in, another beautiful doodle to love. :-)
All kidding aside, perhaps the DRC would be best for him.
Here is the DRC link.
He is adorable and I feel very badly for him that he has already had three homes. I think he would do best being fostered by the DRC where he can be evaluated and all applicants are screened. I think it would greatly increase his chances of landing him in a permanent, forever home. Is he neutered?
