More puppies at my house!!

Yes, I am at it again--another momma dog--one that was born at my house two years ago---is here having her first litter--they are now just over 2 weeks old and she is one terrific momma! Thought you puppy fans would enjoy some new pictures I just took--and I will continue to post new ones each week to give you a lift! 

Today, their eyes were pretty wide open and as I held them and spoke to them one by one for the first time, their little tongues would come part way out, then all the way out and then they started giving me a bunch of tiny puppy kisses--so cute!

Here is the momma when she was a pup--followed by her and her babies now. There are 6 babies--4 boys, 2 girls, 3 blacks, 1 cream and 2 apricots. I call them Tulip, Iris, Sky, Vern (for Vernal Equinox), Raven and Dandy-Lion. I am thinking Spring!

Yay!  I thought so! Ginny, you are amazing for making this happen! The mom looks like she's an F1.  Is this an F2 litter?  I'm just curious. One lucky little doodle has big things ahead. Can't wait to see what develops!

Robin--we collected money earlier this year to buy a pup for a man who was badly injured in the bombing--he has one coming to him from this litter and thinks he is paying for it as a wedding present for his wife--we are surprising him by presenting him with a free pup and there is even money left over for vet bills for the first year....Some wonderful DK folks donated and others that I have raised puppies for donated too--the man's name is Marc Fucarile--he was on the Today show this morning and at opening day at Fenway on Sunday--he gets married on Thursday!!

Yes, Cheryl, one of these will be going to the family that has the Boston Marathon bombing survivor--I can't wait to surprise them with a FREE puppy thanks to all of my DK friends and others who are owners of Lyric's puppies--everyone came thru to make this happen! Don't know which pup yet, but I promise pictures!
