My Texas Doodles and drought

It has been a bit hard on the us as everyone has a hard time going out in this heat. I love to try my hand at grooming so everyone had summer cuts. I am having a groomer come by next week to give me some tips on how to fine tune the style. I am determined to groom my own dogs in style. Right now, I spent about 3 hours every 3 weeks, trying to get it just right. That's 3 hours each.

As it is right now, everyone wants to stay in most off the day and play outside at night and in the early morning. They still have their goofy times, especially Zane. We keep the puppy pool full and cool. Drought times aren't easy. It did manage to rain a tiny bit today and we all frolicked a bit in the rain.

How is everyone else doing in these crazy weather times? If we lived in other parts of the country, I would be teaching my dogs water rescue skills!

Looks like Texas has gotten California's share of warm weather and we've gotten your allotment of spring rain. We have a puppy pool ready to fill for some summer fun, but so far it's only been put to use catching a leak iin the sun room.

We send a lot of time indoors. I'm in SC, but it's been in the mid 90's here recently. However, it has been raining...so can't complain on that end.
However...Molly girl gets hot QUICK! She spends a lot of time laying on top of our floor air vents, lol. We'll all be in the kitchen (where there is only one floor air vent) and we'll start to wonder why it suddenly got a little warmer...we'll look over and there is MOLLY fully sprawled out and covering the air vent....silly dog :-)

When it gets really hot here, I try and take my dogs to the lake to swim or we stay inside in the A/C. Also, there is a grooming group here on DK and you can get lots of good advice there.
