Did you ever have a week, you just wanted to start all over?

Springs in Michigan are MUDDY! We all know that dogs think mud is fun, but add a 14 week old puppy to the mix and the damage is beyond comprehension!

Dexter comes to our house three days a week for "Doggie daycare." Rosaleena is his best friend and partner in crime. Typically they play all day and are good, but this morning they had to have a little more excitement. I was getting Aaron (my son) ready for school and walked out to the kitchen to find the most unbelieveable mud mess! I'm wondering if maybe the dogs consider it an art project? Here's how I think it went down...

The dogs were playing (more like digging) in the yard and got their paws all muddy. Then they came in the house for a drink of water and decided to "wash" their paws off in the water dish. Then the real fun began. I have sufficient evidence to charge Rosaleena, Lizzy, Dexter and Kennedy. Note that once again Gracie and Chloe

are not involved. I'm starting to wonder if maybe they are the masterminds and are setting the others up??

Lizzy - BUSTED

Rosaleena- WAY BUSTED! Look at those paws!!!

"Maybe if I hide around the corner and close my eyes real tight, mom won't see me."

Dexter - BUSTED

Kennedy- Not as muddy as the others, but clearly involved

"Hey mom, this was SO much fun! What are we gonna do tomorrow?!"

Look at how disgusting that water dish is!!! Yuck, yuck, yuck! Well, I'm off to clean the kitchen and give Dexter, Lizzy and Rosaleena a bath. Maybe tomorrow will be an uneventful day....Maybe.....

Well, it's been a few hours since I posted this....

The kitchen is back to normal....even the water dish is sparkling.

As for those found guilty....

They were sentenced to a bath and some time behind bars. Once dry, they may be released early for good behavior.

LOL Jane! You're right, It must have been one big plan! The dogs have promised to be good for the rest of the week! Besides, I can keep blogging about my "naughty Doodles" it'll give the impression that their bad all the time! They really are good dogs...really they are...REALLY! :o)

Now I get why the ate your glasses. It makes perfect Doodle sense. They thought you wouldn't be able to see the mud....and it might have worked if you didn't get another pair in such a hurry. I think they were definitely trying to wash of their paws in the water bowl...such good Doodles. They wanted to help their Mom. You are a great sport! I just love you're "naughty Doodle" blogs...they give me my laugh for the day. I'd like to say "keep them coming", but that probably isn't fair.

Well it's clear that Chloe and Gracie have taught Rose as well before she left to live here! I feel your pain April!
