OT........... buying a puppy for my grandaughter for Christmas and need name suggestions.

Yes, I am buying her a non doodle puppy. For certain reasons she has to have a very small dog. So, here she is, a mini dashound. Right now her name is Trish and for other reasons we need to change that. I like Bella, but am up for your suggestions. I know there are very creative minds out there in DK world. Of course my grandaughter will have the final say or probably will pick her own name, but thought I would see what you all thought ;-)
She is just a doll baby, 7 1/2 weeks old and weighs 2 1/4 #'s. Will be picking her up Christmas eve which is perfect.

Just wanted to let you all know what a wonderful surprise the new puppy was for my grandaughter on Christmas eve. Everything went perfect! Blair, my grandaughter, named the puppy, Bella. It just fits her, and she has been a really good girl. Thank you all for your input!

Very cute puppy! Bella is a good name, but I also like Noel and Holly, as others mentioned. It would be neat to have a Christmas name that's not too "Christmas-y."

Noel is really sticking with me too now, just because of the Christmas surprise. I like Betsy too though. All great ideas. I will let ya all know what it ends of being.

What a Beautiful puppy!!! I asked my grandaughter what she would name her and she likes Betsy, and Lu-Lu.. we also like Bella too :)

Gotta say I'm loving the Christmas names also ..... I might be a little partial to "Noel". Don't know why, but she just looks like a little "Noel". Kids have a funny way of coming up with names of their own though so it should be interesting! Would love to be a fly on the wall at your house on Christmas morning! Get some pictures!

Thank you all for the great suggestions. I never thought of a Christmas name. I hope she chooses something like that. Yes, I have 2 grandaughters and the oldest one has the Chi. This grandaughter lost her cat to a very abrupt illnes of unknown origin and she misses her terribly. She is going to be so excited.
You are right about the name Bella though, very popular due to the Twilight saga. Maybe that is why I liked it. Hahahaha
