Rain Soaked but Happy

I am a fair weather kinda gal and thus a fair weather trainer...and I almost always HATE rain. Give me clear skies and sunshine, please!

But today I had a friend commit to meeting me out in the park and if SHE was willing to brave wetness (as long as it wasn't pouring) no way was I going to wimp out!

When we got there the rain was bearable...but it quickly became a torrential storm!

Luckily for me, and unluckily for them...the local Kennel Club was setting up for their annual Dog Fest so we had all sorts of stuff to work with before my friend arrived (and for a bit after). While they were huddling under tents...Boca and I were running around soaked. It was pretty funny!

We lasted nearly 20 minutes, but once I could no longer see through my glasses, my pants were completely soaked, and Boca's leash weighed more than she did...I knew it was time to quit.

I was pretty impressed with myself too...That is so not me to work in the rain! But I am very determined this time to finish training sooner. Winter is coming soon and I do NOT want to be working much in snow or take eons like with Rosco. Crossing my fingers I can meet my goal. But although it looked freezing it was only in the low 60's so pretty comfortable except for the soaking wet part...Haha!
