I've had a blast the past few weeks. Bette's been home a lot! It's great because she can play with me, take me for longer walks, and pretty much spoil me rotten. I love it! However, sometimes she forgets to enforce nap time, and I get really tired. She seems to have forgotten that I'm a puppy, and I need my beauty sleep... at least a little bit of it.

I've been growing, as you may have guessed, and I've also grown in strength. Sometimes I forget that I'm not so little anymore, especially when I'm playing with other pooches. I still love playing, but I have to be careful not to be too rough with my friends. At least, that's what Bette keeps saying. Also, I guess I've been pulling a lot on the leash. Yea, I admit it: I am a curious puppy and I tend to pull. Well, Bette got me an easy walk harness, and that helps remind me to be a nice walker. Can I help it that I want to RUN not walk!?! Anyway, I guess the harness works because now I can go for longer walks and not hurt my neck by jerking. That's a good thing!

Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you about my fun trips to visit Papa John... no not the pizza guy. Papa John is Bette' dad, and he's pretty nice to me. I visited him twice in September. It was the strangest thing, Bette took me and all my stuff -- yea, I've got a lot of stuff -- over to Papa John's place. I thought we were just going to play for a little while, but maybe I should have known better... Bette took my kennel.... but anyway, she left me! Forgot me?!? I don't know, but Bette left me at Papa John's. I was a little unsure at first, but then I ended up really enjoying myself. Sure, I missed Bette and Chris, but I had lots of fun playing and walking and exploring with Papa John. It was an adventure!

When Bette and Chris came back, I was so happy to see them. They tried to remind me not to jump, but I could hardly help myself... I was SO excited! After both my extended stays Bette told me where they'd been. Apparently they went to Chicago to visit Bette's brother, and you'll never guess what else... Bette did a Mud Run in South Carolina. She showed me the link, and man, I wish doggies could participate in that muddy race, too.

As you can see, September has been a very eventful month. I wonder what October will bring?!?

Agnes,
You are one lucky dood. You get to go lots of places and visit people. I got to go a lot during the July but then my brother got hurt when he was chasing me at a dog park. So then, I just had to stay home where is was hot and boring. Too hot even for many walks. I am glad you are learning not to be too rough cause I LOVE to play but I am kinda small for a doodle.
