Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I have a ALD who is a breeding female, about 2 1/2 years old, Dolly. She is in her first week of her 3rd heat cycle. We did nothing the first cycle but the second time, the breeder drove 3 hours each way to pick up a male for Dolly's first hot date. Well, my little Dolly must be related to "Vern" cuz she's afraid of a lot of things and is pretty nervous about other dogs. A few days before the big day, she started flagging her tail at Tura, our other female Labradoodle so I knew the hormones were kickin' in and maybe just maybe she would be good to go. I drove her to the breeders house, and out she came with the little guy, very cute. The meet and greet was happy and playful for about 5 seconds. Then came the scampering back and the growling (Dolly). The breeder had me leave and then took them to a room for a further introduction. (Wine? Soft music? Candlelight?)
Six hours later, the breeder brought her home. No luck for the little guy. She decided to wait until the next time and we may have to go to the vet for artificial insemination.
I've never had a pregnant dog before so thought I'd blog about our journey.
Dolly seems normal except she likes to lean on me when I'm sitting in the chair. Doesn't do that normally. I wonder if dogs have cramps?

Well, she is a looker to both humans and dudes. I guess she just needs to find the 'right' guy.
Dolly reminds me of Richard's Holly. Pretty girl.
She is a cutie. Our Harlow is a virgin too, but more because Mon and Dad are notorious about suffering from "analysis paralysis".
