Socialite Status!!

YIPPEE!!  I made it to doodle Socialite!!!!!! (insert falling confetti) 

Here are my observations since joining DK in January -

*  As I'm stacking up doodle points, I'm noticing other things stacking up as well such as -  papers I have to check, books to be read and put away (still have snowman books on the shelf in the classroom), data to record and analyze, laundry to take care of and dishes to wash, phone calls to return, communications with people outside DK (yes, I still associate with non DKr's:)......   

*  TIME ceases to exist when I open the DK page on my computer.  I begin to respond to "just a few" posts at the end of the school day before cleaning my desk and getting ready for tomorrow, when I look up and discover it is 4 hours later, then 6 hours, then...  Where does that time go???? 

*  Non DK folks just don't understand...  I was having a converstation with non DK family members and they just couldn't keep up!?  I said something like, "BG on DK......Spud's toe....Laurie and her DH....Fudge and Vern...Vern's tail....a bridge....and her DD....an eyetooth and bikini....F said (a big word I can't spell)...TOTW is really good, so is BB and some like NB but NOT PPC and using C-N-C as a food topper is not good, Karen says something about sugar and other ingrediants I can't pronounce...melted whale fat, dead skunk and human poo are disgusting.... we get tired of eating brownies every day (I actually don't get that one)....an intercourse shirt....and..... "  at that point they all said something about me being crazy!  Like I said they just don't understand!!!

*  My final observation - This blog would be a lot more interesting if I knew how to add cute pictures, sparklies, bouncy faces, etc.=:-}}}  Hint, Hint... 

I have not been on DK all that long and have a lot of time to put in before earning the covetted Hopeless Doodle Addict Status but during my time on DK I have come to admire the connections and committment you have all made to your doodles and to each other.

Haha I love this blog. I just recently moved from Socialite to Frequent Doodler. Isn't it funny how we all watch that? I suppose we'll watch it until the day we become HDA's and then I wonder if that ranking excitement stops. But I agree, what a wonderful community we fell into :)

Sandy, I totally understand!!!  I am also single with 2 doodles and a Lab working full time and doing volunteer therapy work with Fozzie a couple days a week.  When I decide I've had enough of the house mess I go into crazy cleaning lady mode about 11pm and will stay up all night.  But here is my new house cleaning strategy =:>)

Donna, after reading all the DKitis symptoms that have been posted, I've concluded the only option for surviving this highly addictive condition is, of course, more DK DOODLING!!! 

However adding a cleaning person, a classroom assistant, gardner, and a personal secretary to my one person (me) staff would really be "life saving" :-),  I wonder how to bill that for insurance:))))
