Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi all--the pups have been keeping me very busy and no time for blogging! I have had a LOT of company as everyone wants to come see the puppies now that they have reached that cute as a button stage--and of course, the socializing is great for them. Also my son has come home for Spring break so I want to spend some time with him too!
But I have some new pics that were taken by me and by a new friend--some of you may know Madeline who owned Mowgli, a giant GD that was an awesome therapy dog and a model for the Hollister stores---the poor guy died suddenly from Lymphoma at the age of 7 and Maddie and her family are just devastated....she and her husband drove 3 hours the other day to meet my dogs and pups as she MIGHT purchase one of our babies one of these days--she needs some more time to heal but she enjoyed her time with the puppies, especially one that looked like Mowgli as a baby--and Rio was a big hit too--especially when he jumped right up on Maddie's husband's lap and made himself at home--my dogs are not very well trained..
Here are some pics Maddie and a few of my "special girl" Penny with the Easter bunny...future momma doodle maybe?? Hopefully she will find a great guardian home, as 4 dogs are 1 too many for me!!
This first pup is our big boy Copper who looks just like Mowgli did, but won't be 100 pounds as an adult--I hope!!
UPDATE: Here are the the curly girl and the Champagne boys (the "party boys") The curly girl (Peaches) will be headed to Italy as a possible addition to the therapy program for autistic kids--this is the second of Lyric's pups to go there and they love the first one! I already added the Party boy pics, but as a comment and maybe no one knew they were added...
Also, Penny, shown with the bunny below, will now be known as Tango Wool's Sweet Nightingale and her call name is Tweety! I got my name in there as a co-owner!
This is little Lucky, the 7th pup born--he is small and very sweet.
This is Saffron, a very petite female!
Lucky again...and then 3 of Penny...isn't she something? The spitting image of her mom, actually.

Ginny, that's really wonderful! I can't imagine how you are going to say goodbye to them. It's hard for us us to say goodbye :) It must give you peace of mind to be happy with their choices and forever homes. Looking forward to seeing Copper grow. Maybe others will join DK.
Oh Ginny, I know it is a lot of work, but how do you say good bye to them:(
Yes, such awesome families! Everyone picked a different favorite!! No hard choices to make!! They will know for sure in just a few days, but the fact that the pups are all going to homes that put them as #1 is so great--and it is exactly how I would have matched them, so i do not have to disappoint anyone...if you are a fan of Copper, he will probably be owned by a DK-er!! So we can follow his progress!
Ginny, I'm so happy the pups are going to nice people. It's great that you get to meet all of them after raising these babies.
Lyric wants to lick them all but doesn't quite know how to get them to stop eating! They are all weaned now, so she has to see them thru the pen--no choice....the family visits went so well today--two more tomorrow!
Love the picture of your son with the puppies! I notice Lyric looking over things:)
Ginny, I don't know how you do it! First the work and then the giving them up part! This litter sounds like a bunch of keepers. ;o)
Temperaments are unbelievable--the sweetest litter ever--I usually feed them at about 8 am and today, I overslept--I came down at 8:30 and they are all just looking at me as if to say, "so, when you get a chance can we eat?" So mild-mannered! And yes, the big curly girl is top dog and also weighs the most by a full pound, followed by Nemo--they had their first tug of war today and Peaches, big curly girl, won. Frosty is a great pup-full of fun but not bossy--same with Saffron and Penny, now Tweetybird. Lucky and Copper tend to be more laid back and like to sleep more than the others--but all are so nice--they already sit for cookies! I brush them and clip their nails and they just stand like statues--usually at this point it is more like a wrestling match--I will miss them when they are GONE!!
