Sophie's big news!!

Hi everyone! Just thought I share exciting news about my puppy Sophie. I know this might sound corny but I am so happy that Sophie finally learned to do paw!!! She is 6 months old and it took her a long time to learn it but she finally got it!!! :) To anyone who read my post I would love to hear your successful training with your puppy

I love this about both my dogs. They always want me to hold their paws. Way to go, Sophie.

Holding hands as we call it is something that for some reason just came naturally to our Sophie!  She was a Therapy Dog and she always wanted to hold every ones hand.  It was always so cute.  She would go up to a nursing home patient in a wheel chair and sit and the first thing that would happen is she would put that paw up for them to hold her hand.  They would always shake and let go and she would put it right back up there.  I'd say "she wants to hold hands" and they would get so tickled.  They would yell down the hallway "look, she is holding my hand".  If she got tired with one paw, she would take it away and give them the other one.

Congrats!

The coolest thing we're working on is playing the piano. Once Goldie masters that I'll be all kinds of thrilled. I really wanted to teach her something unique and one day my daughter was playing her little toddler piano and Goldie put her paws on the keys (the treats were on top the piano so she was really just trying to get to those) and I thought it would be cool to try. It's a tough one for sure though.

This is great, glad it was accomplished. Daisy would never quite give paw, she puts it out there but when someone tries to take it to shake she says "Psych" and takes it away...it's actually kind of funny!

Congratulation's Sophie ! Finnley learned that one right off ! In fact it has turned into her begging

technique. However, the poor girl couldn't sit up to save her life. She sits weirdly on her haunches, and falls over. It's very funny !

Congratulations!  It's such a nice feeling of accomplishment when you can get your doodle to accommodate   We are doing a tricks class and having fun with learning new stuff.
