Swimming is the best way to cure the Doodle Wiggles!

Went to the Farm tonight. We've recently dug a large pond. Lilly and Penny LOVE it. They get extremely dirty and sandy and full of grass, weeds, ticks, burrs, you name it. They are a couple of naughty teenagers- they won't get out of the water when you ask them and they don't want to shower when we get home either!

They eat like they have never seen food when we get home as well. They tend to be picky eaters- more tend to graze. They just ate twice their normal amount of food in about five minutes.

They will pass out cold and not wake up until around 8 am tomorrow. (our room has blackout draperies:))

If you are having trouble with your doodle not eating well, or not sleeping well, swimming is the answer.

My Cuba loves swimming also. I take him for a walk everyday after work, but it is never enough exercise for him. As we live in South Georgia we are hot and sweaty after the walk, so we spend another 30 minutes swimming laps in the pool. He will follow me from one end to the other until I tire out not him.

He ususlly has his dinner about 30 minutes after this exercise and will last another hour or so before collapsing at my feet. Dog tired.

My doods love swimming too, but I don't really like them swimming in the ocean.  Pools are very cool and lakes are fine.  Right now I worry about Copper trying to get into the hot tub.  He stands up on the side and paws the water, but so far has resisted.  I won't get in the hot tub when Charlie is away because I don't want to have him in there with me.  There is a short fence around the hot tub and garden area, but the other dogs just hop over it.  Copper stands at the gate and howls when they are in the garden area.  We wash them as soon as they get out of the pool, but they know that baths are a follow up to a good day at the beach.  Eating is never a problem with these guys, but they are definitely hungry and sleepy after a good day at the beach or pool.
