Okay, that is what Phoebe seems like to me these days anyway. This puppy will gnaw on anything wood like my kitchen chairs or, my personal favorite, the decorative inlaid molding around our island in the kitchen. I have tried 'trading' her a favorite toy or treat to stop gnawing...she takes the bait and then returns to her passion a second later. We have tried bitter apple which she loves and now Tabasco which she licked off the gate excitedly. I have plopped her in her ex-pen to calm down and 'forget' for a few minutes but she LOVES wood (it must give her the right amount of pressure to soothe those aching gums and teeth). I have also noticed no correlation between her desire to chew my home into toothpicks and exercise. I am very active with her and she--still-being the lovable puppy that she is--loves my chairs. I am hoping that this phase passes quickly as we are running out of nice furniture and wood trim!!!

Fozzy likes would, but he loves shoes almost as much as I do. He got my three of my favorite pairs shredded. Not a single pair of shoes that I probably should get rid of but don't because they are perfectly good. One thing I have noticed. If there is a bullystick around he stays away from the wood. He is particularly fond of my loveseat's foot. Have you gotten any bullysticks yet?

Ahhhh, Charlie does the same thing..... She takes my favorite sandals, and chew on the wooden heels!!!

There's just something about breaking sticks/wood into tiny pieces! Mine do it too! But only to sticks...not household wood.
Cass will bring us a stick to throw but on the way to use she usually demolishes it into a million pieces and then drops this 'toothpick' thing at our feet to toss...LOL
