The ups and downs of Spring in Atlanta...

Spring has officially sprung here in the ATL. Here are some highlights of the good: It is truly gorgeous...bright green grass, flowering trees, and brilliant yellow forsythia (a favorite of mine) everywhere you look. Thirsty Dog Tavern (a bar where you can bring your dog) has at long last opened and I can't wait to take Callie...they will have milkbone hunts and a kibble menu (how cute is that?). The weather has been lovely, and Callie, Wilbur, and I have been going on marathon walks (briefly suspended for the Wilbs since he got neutered this past Thursday). The later daylight is nothing short of inspirational to me - I don't think I even realized how "blah" I'd been feeling! People are getting puppies right and left. My neighbors two doors down brought home their goldendoodle puppy Einstein on Friday. I'm in LOVE with her - she's so stinking cute!. Callie also loves her...Wilbur, not so much! (he's more of a people person than dog person). Sandals, skirts, and pretty painted toenails are another real upside for me! All of this joy is augmented by having Callie and Wilbur along with me for the ride! (and no, I'm still not keeping Wilbur, but there's no reason to not enjoy his sweet company while I have him!)

My only sincere warm weather complaint has nothing to do with the pervasive pollen or resentment that I have to be in the office when it's so pretty every day. It's that I now, once again, have to ALWAYS wear a bra around the house in case I have to take the dogs out. No more "hiding" under a coat. Grr. That's a real bummer!!

Well I had no idea that was where this post was headed, but I certainly understand. Our back door neighbors spend the winters in Mexico, so now that Spring is here, they have returned so I'm right there with you about thinking about what I have on when I go outside (at least after it gets daylight).

I'm so jealous of your Thirsty Dog Tavern ....... I would love to have a place like that!

Spring really does wonders for all of us! Sounds like we, in northern NJ, are at about the same stage flower wise as you are. But we are having very warm weather for us.

I kinow, hasn't it been absolutely beautiful weather this last week? I have been working in the yard every day. Wilbs sounds like he is settling in to his routine as well. Hopefully we can all get together soon for another play date.
