This was a post I had on Facebook this morning from the Golden Retriever Rescue and thought it was an awesome idea!!!!
Golden Retriever Rescue Resource, Inc. Here's a GRRReat tip: To wash your dog collars and leashes, remove all the tags and stuff them in an old pair of pantyhose. Put the hose in with a color load (cold water). When the load is done, remove the leashes and collars from the pantyhose and let them air dry. Ta-da! They are all nice and clean.

I have always just tossed them in the washer along with the towels or Gracie's  blankets.  I don't do it with regular stuff like clothing only so they don't snag something.  Then out to the patio to dry.  They come out perfect!!

I just toss mine into the washing machine as is. Or I use an old toothbrush and a little soap and scrub it on both sides than hang to dry.  But Boca wears a leather collar and you can't really do either for that.  I will just wipe it down if it looks a little dingy.
