It was so nice finding birthday wishes from this board.  I remember a little less than a year ago when I lost my pup Neko, how kind you are were to me.  I now have a wonderful 11 month old dweezil.  what is a dweezil you ask? it is a beautiful animal friends rescue puppy.  he was found with his siblings under a porch in the city during a fridgidly cold period. they were tiny newborns that were being nursed by a stray dog and kept warm by another adult female.  he has much border collie in him and he has brought extensive joy to our family.  my husband lost his job at delmonte when they sold in april and his father is very ill four hours away, alone in a nursing home. on top of all that, his fathers house was condemned in the flood from the remanats of tropical storm lee. honestly dweezil is the one constant that makes hubby smile these days.  again thank you . have a great day.

Iam so glad you and Dweezil found each other! I am so sorry about your husband's job loss.   Having a parent so far away and needing assistance is so frustrating. You feel helpless.  I appreciate the update. AND:

I am so happy to read that your little pup makes you so happy during difficult times and I could not agree more about furry companions.  We moved 1300 miles for a job that was lost 22 months after we all got here.  My husband has been looking for a job unsuccessfully for 21 months and counting.  I adore all my children and my DH, but it is my Phoebe who has made me chuckle watching her antics and it is my Phoebe who has gotten me through so far with long walks and lots and lots of cuddles.  I hope that things get better for you and that your fur baby keeps making you happy!
