Who owes me money?

I love my dogs, I love my dogs, I love my dogs. I really do, but today I need to remind myself!

I have worn glasses since I was 9. I am BLIND without them. They are the first thing I put on in the morning and the last thing I take off at night. They go on the shelf right above my bed. Early this morning my mom called and said she was dropping off muffins (YUM!) and could I meet her at the fence? I got up, put my slippers on and left my glasses. I was thinking I'd be right back and was going to lay down for a few more minutes until it was time to get the kids up, which is exactly what I did. When I got up a bit later my glasses weren't where they always are. UGH! I know the dogs didn't take them while I was in bed, so it must have been when I went to get the muffins. I checked the bathroom thinking maybe I left them there the night before. Then, I checked the family room. Maybe I took them off when I was falling asleep watching Brothers and Sisters? Nope, not there... So, I got the kids up and had them help. (Remember I'm pretty much blind, so me looking for them is useless.) About 15 minutes into the search Alyssa found this in the front yard.

Aparently the dogs thought it was time for me to get new glasses. It has been two years. I considered driving myself to the eye Dr., but realized that it's illegal and besides, I CAN'T see! So, I called my dad and asked him to take me. When I arrived I was reminded by an employee that the LAST time I got new glasses the dogs had eaten them. She then condescendingly asked me if I kept them in a safe place. I was going to explain but then realized, what business is it of hers?? Besides, how does she remember that?! It was two years ago! I hardly remembered it! (I try not to hold grudges.)

When all was said and done, WITH insurance, I paid $317. Not exactly cheap but I had to get them today! Now the question is, which dog owes me the money? If Rose still lived here she would have been blamed. (Sorry Rose!) But since she is North Carolina I can hardly charge her...

Kennedy (Rose's mom) is my #1 suspect. She is the one that ate the glasses two years ago. She is typically very good now so I'd be kind of surprised....but then again, she does have a record.

Lizzy is suspect #2. She is very sweet and loving and perfect in almost every way, BUT she does sleep on the bed with me, so that means she was in the bed at the time the glasses disappeared.

Suspect # 3 - Rosaleena is very sweet as well, but DOES like to steal things and take them out the doggie door. She typically sleeps under the bed, so was in the vicinity at the time the glasses disappeared.

Gracie and Chloe are the only ones that have an alibi. They slept with Alyssa last night and her door was closed. Besides they are the least likely to steal and destroy...

I'm not sure who to be mad at...So I guess I need to get over it. I'll just add it to the ever growing list of things I've had to replace over the years. *Sigh*

I didn't know you have a chihuahua looking dog! The markings look similar to my Taquito, April!
Love this post, but I am sorry it is at the expense of you having to shell out $$ for new glasses.

Well, here is how I see (no pun intended) it! #'s 1, 2, and 3 are safe because you aren't going to find a jury in the whole world that is going to convict any of those 3 faces, #4 and #5 have an alibi, so that only leaves, let's see, YOU! hummmmmmmmm .......................... aren't new glasses nice though!

Hmmmmmm........I'm thinking at this point that Rosie is breathing a sigh of relief! LOL

Truthfully though if it's Rosaleena you have to cut her a break for cuteness!!!!!!!!

My guess is Kennedy.....I'm not going to say why exactly I think this might be true but lets just say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

Sorry about the glasses....as a glasses wearer I can relate but thanks for the chuckle!
