Boomer was at the dog park today playing with another dog when a 50+ pound lab T-boned him by mistake (chasing a tennis ball), fully fracturing his front right radial. "Luckily" it's not near a…Continue

We're concerned that Boomer barks excessively when we're out. While we're at home he's quiet, never barks or whimpers (he's barked before when he gets SUPER excited, but that's maybe once or twice a…Continue

We've had Boomer for about a week and a half, and up until last night he had never soiled his crate. Then out of the blue last night, we discovered that he had peed in it while we were out (only 45…Continue

Welcome to Doodlekisses John. Have fun meeting everyone and exploring a great site. Lots of great information. Make sure you check out all the various groups.
I am so glad he did not have giardia and it sounds like you have covered all your bases! I am of the belief if you find a food your puppy is doing well on it stick with it. I see so many new puppy owners on here trying to find a food from the recommended food list and not all do well on the same thing! Mine have both been on Wellness as that is what the breeder was feeing and they have done well on it
I see you live in the beautiful area of Issaquah! I lived in Edmonds for 25 years on the sound and just loved it. I met my husband there and after he retired he got asthma and the moisture was killing him! Since all our kids live in the PNW (Portland & Seattle areas) we nixed moving to AZ and moved east of the Cascades. I love it over here - dry and sunshine - but I still also miss my latte and typical Seattle misty day and when it gets too much I drive over and stay with my daughter in Edmonds.
Be sure to post lots of photos of Boomer as he grows - he is just so darn cute now (love his face) and I think he is going to be a gorgeous doodle as an adult! You got a good one! See you on DK.
John ~ I saw your post re diarrhea and was wondering if you took Boomer in for a Wellness exam. Our breeder insisted we take our puppy in for wellness checkup within the first week in order to make the breeder 2 year health guarantee be effective. If you have not had him checked, you might want to do that and take a fecal with you so they check him for giardia. If per chance he does have giardia, he will need to be treated, and the sooner the better. I hope it is just a case of all the new changes for him going to his new forever home. Another thing to consider is pet insurance. If you are considering insurance, you want to do it asap, so there are no pre-existing conditions. Good luck with this beautiful boy!
oh my gosh Boomer is adorable !!!
