I am a retired elementary teacher. We have three grown children who are married and one granddaughter. Our whole family enjoy the company of our dogs. In all we have a Pug, English Bull Mastiff, a Yorkie, and our Goden Retriever and our new Golden Doodle. We have also enjoyed sharing our home for the past thirty years with springer spaniels.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
We have a Golden Doodle. He is almost five months and still growing. His father was a beautiful black standard poodle and mother is a lovely red golden retriever. Monk is a sweetheart and loves to be noticed. He and Gracie are great friends. I am currently taking him to puppy training class. He loves it.
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
My friend was looking for a black labradoodle. I was looking in ads for dogs and saw one for Golden Doodle puppies. I called and of course they had black puppies. We went together to "see" the puppies and well, you know the rest....love at first sight.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
A little bit but nothing major
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
My husband and I so far take care of his grooming.
The romps are held about once a month fall to spring. If I don't get back to you about the next one ask me about this time next month. To get this cute wallpaper, I googled Halloween and images. I saved the one little picture to my desktop and as an experiment, I clicked to change the appearance on my page, then advanced and then made the sides and header clear and downloaded the picture and clicked to "tile" it and that is what happened. I was pleasantly surprised.
Hi, I am the person who met you at the dog show and told you about doodlekisses. Might you come to the romp in Seal Beach October 24? I would love to see how your pup has grown! Nancy and Ned
I just looked at your photos of Monk and he does look a lot like my Gracie Doodle. Gracie turns 2 yrs. on the 18th but Monk's pictures look very much like Gracie at that age. I notice you are in California! We are in San Diego.
Penny is a golden doodle too. I was quite surprised when I was glancing through the photos to see a dog which looks so much like Penny. Doodles seem to be similiar but not in the facial expressions. Penny is one of the most expressive dogs so I'm glad that yours is the same. I can't wait to see what he looks like in a few years!
I thought it might be a little far even if you are free, but I wanted to mention it. Maybe there will be something closer to you and I. We will go because we are trying to expose Ned to new people and dogs.
Don't know if you would be interested but a member here, organizes get togethers at Huntington Park (not the beach) in the town of Huntington Beach. She has set the next one up for March 28. Go to events at the top of your page and click. You will see it as an upcoming event. You can RSVP or just show up.
Awwww, I love your id photo, so adorable! Welcome to the group! It's a great place where you can learn a LOT! However, I just want to warn you - you can become addicted! There's so much to read, so many photos of cute doodles to see... I spent night and nights doodlekissing when I first joined! Enjoy!
